Optim Cut 2.2 is a software program specialized in optimizing the PAL [chipboard] plates cutting process. It can be easily adapted to cutting other materials such as glass, marble, granite, plastics, metallic plate work, aluminum and PVC. Making use of genetic algorithms, Optim Cut 2.2 offers a fast computation solution with a medium optimization of 95%.
FEATURES
choose the colour of the plates as well as the different observations for the cut pieces;
write a code of maximum 8 characters on the pieces in the cutting diagram;
orientation of the pieces along the fibre or not, after users preference;
select the width of cutting;
using 2 types of edges;
choose the edge type and determine the total length of edge used;
place the pieces on the raw plate in bands along the fibre or transversally on the fibre, for obtaining solutions for cutting as easy as possible;
set the minimum dimensions for a material rest to be considered as useful and to be kept;

automatic saving of the best solution obtained after more runs and/or working sessions;
manual saving of a desired solution, other than the optimal one;
printing the list with the pieces cut and their characteristics;
printing a report containing the total length of the cuts, total average coverage, (partial) coverage of the last plate, total area consumed, total length of the edge, the list of rests that satisfy the specified conditions and the list of unused raw plates;
means for importing/exporting data from/to Excel files;
automatic labelling of the pieces and of the rests.
Through the use of Optim Cut 2.2, you could save both material, up to a minimum of 5-10% in comparison to any other lay out method, and time in elaboration of your designs.
